Notification reliability
Notifications in Dailo are scheduled to work as reliably as possible — below you will find short tips that can help improve reminder reliability on your phone.
Android
On some Android phones, the system may limit how apps work in the background, especially after restarting the phone, when the battery is low, or when battery saver mode is enabled. This may affect whether reminders appear.
To improve notification reliability, check your phone settings:
- whether notifications for Dailo are enabled,
- whether the app is allowed to work in the background,
- whether battery saving is not limiting Dailo,
- whether the phone allows Dailo to start after a restart, if this option is available.
The names of these settings may differ depending on the phone manufacturer. On some models they may be called “Battery”, “Background activity”, “Autostart”, “Unrestricted”, or “Battery optimization”.
iOS
On iOS, on iPhone and iPad, local notifications are handled by the system and usually do not require additional battery or background activity settings. It is enough for Dailo notifications to be enabled in the device settings.
However, iOS allows an app to schedule only a limited number of local notifications at once — usually up to 64. With Dailo, you do not need to limit the number of tasks with reminders. Every time you open the app, Dailo refreshes the notification queue so that the next upcoming reminders can be scheduled on time.
If you have many scheduled reminders, it is worth opening Dailo from time to time, for example once every few days. This lets the app refresh the notification queue regularly.
Dailo will show you additional information when there are about 50 active reminders saved in the app.
