Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains the privacy rules applicable to the Dailo mobile application and the Dailo website.
Last updated: 9 August 2026
1. General information
The controller of data related to Dailo is Marcin Bierzyński, a private individual – creator and publisher of the Dailo application. Privacy contact: dailo@getdailo.com.
2. Key principles of the App
Using Dailo does not require an account, login, or providing a name, email address or phone number.
Dailo is designed to work primarily locally. Task contents, notes, dates and times, reminder and recurrence information, task statuses and app settings are stored on the user’s device.
3. Data stored locally on the device
The app also creates a random technical UUID. It does not contain a name, email address or other directly identifying information. The controller has no remote access to the user’s local database.
Local data remains on the device until it is deleted by the user, app data is cleared, or Dailo is uninstalled.
4. Backups
The user may voluntarily create a backup manually. In that case, a file containing data from Dailo’s local database, potentially including task and note contents, is sent to Cloud Storage for Firebase. A random code is assigned to the backup so it can later be restored, including on another device.
The backup file is not additionally encrypted by Dailo before upload. The connection is secured and Cloud Storage for Firebase encrypts data in transit and at rest. A backup is stored for approximately 24–48 hours and then deleted automatically. Dailo currently does not provide a function for manually deleting the backup from Firebase Storage.
Keep the backup code secure and do not create a backup of information whose temporary cloud storage is unacceptable to you.
5. Google Analytics for Firebase – only with consent
Dailo may use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how app features are used and to guide product development. Analytics collection is disabled by default and is enabled only after the user gives voluntary consent. Consent can later be withdrawn in the app settings; withdrawing consent stops further Analytics collection.
After consent, Analytics may process technical information about the app and device, including sessions and viewed screens, platform and operating system, language, app version, device model, approximate country derived from network data, and technical installation identifiers.
Dailo logs events including task_created, language_set, task_done, task_restore, task_edit, task_move, auto_move, backup, frc_message and theme. Their parameters may describe task type, whether a time or reminder is set, language, edit or move type, auto-move state, backup operation type, message type and theme identifier.
Dailo does not intentionally send task or note contents, exact task dates or times, backup codes, names, email addresses, phone numbers or the local user UUID to Analytics. Analytics processing is based on the user’s consent.
6. Firebase Crashlytics
Dailo uses Firebase Crashlytics to detect crashes and technical errors. Crashlytics may process Firebase/Crashlytics installation identifiers, session identifiers, crash time, app and OS version, device model, CPU architecture, memory information and crash stack traces.
Crashlytics is not intentionally configured to send task contents, notes or backup codes. Diagnostic data is used to maintain app stability and security. Crashlytics generally retains crash stack traces and associated identifiers for about 90 days before beginning deletion. Processing is based on the controller’s legitimate interest in diagnosing errors and maintaining a stable application.
7. Firebase Remote Config
Dailo uses Firebase Remote Config to retrieve configuration and messages, such as information about updates, project support or backup availability. Remote Config may use a Firebase installation identifier and technical information required to return the relevant configuration. Task and note contents are not sent to Remote Config.
8. Recipients of App-related data and international transfers
Firebase services are provided by Google, including Google Ireland Limited and other Google group entities. Depending on the service, data may be processed in Google’s global infrastructure, including outside the European Economic Area, using appropriate legal transfer mechanisms required by data protection law.
9. Dailo website
The Dailo website is hosted by LH.pl. When you visit the website, the server may automatically record technical data such as IP address, connection date and time, requested resource, browser and operating system information, server response code and error information.
These data are used to deliver the website, keep it secure, diagnose errors and prevent abuse. Processing is based on the controller’s legitimate interest in operating and securing the website.
10. Cookies
The Dailo website does not use website Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising tools, or analytics/marketing cookies. It may use only technical mechanisms necessary for the website to work correctly.
11. Google Fonts
The website uses Google Fonts loaded from Google servers. When a font is requested, the browser connects to Google, which may receive technical data such as the IP address and browser information. Google Fonts does not require cookies in order to deliver fonts.
12. Contact form and email contact
The website contact form contains a message field and does not require a name or email address. The message is sent to dailo@getdailo.com. If the user voluntarily includes personal or contact details in the message, they are processed in order to handle that message.
Correspondence is kept until the matter is closed and then generally for no longer than 12 months, unless longer retention is necessary to establish, pursue or defend legal claims or comply with a legal obligation. Hosting and email are provided by LH.pl.
13. External links
The app and website may link to Google Play, potentially the App Store in the future, and other Dailo-related websites. After following an external link, the privacy rules of that external service apply.
14. Data sharing
The controller does not sell user data. Data may be disclosed to technical service providers and competent public authorities only where required by law.
15. Retention periods
- task data stored locally – until deleted by the user, app data is cleared, or the app is uninstalled;
- backups – approximately 24–48 hours;
- Crashlytics – according to Google’s rules, generally about 90 days for crash stack traces and associated identifiers;
- Analytics – according to Google Analytics retention settings and Google’s rules, only after consent;
- correspondence – until the matter is closed and then generally up to 12 months;
- server logs – for the period resulting from the hosting provider’s configuration and security rules.
16. User rights
Where personal data is processed by the controller, the user may have rights under the GDPR, including rights to information, access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
Requests can be sent to dailo@getdailo.com. The controller cannot access, read or remotely erase data stored solely on the user’s device. The user can manage that data on the device.
Users also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
17. Automated decision-making and profiling
Dailo does not conduct marketing profiling or use data for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Analytics statistics, where consent is given, are used to analyse feature usage and improve the app.
18. Security
Dailo minimises the amount of data processed, does not require an account, keeps core user content locally and uses secured connections for online services. No method of storage or transmission can guarantee complete security. Users should protect their device and backup code.
19. Children and minors
Dailo is a general-purpose app and is not designed or specifically directed at children. The App does not require users to provide their age or other data that directly identifies them. Minors should use the App in accordance with the laws applicable in their country and, where required, with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
20. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Policy may be updated as the app evolves, technical services change or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on the Dailo website and the update date will be shown at the top.
21. Contact
For privacy or data-processing questions, contact the controller: dailo@getdailo.com.
